Missouri head-on collision causes personal injury to 4

Understandably, head-on collisions are terrifying experiences. The trauma of such an accident can cause emotional harm even if no severe personal injury is suffered. The occupants of two vehicles that recently crashed head-on on a Missouri road were fortunate when none of them suffered life-threatening injuries.

Father killed in second of 2 fatal pedestrian accidents in 2 days

Losing a loved one in a hit-and-run accident is understandably traumatic. A Missouri family, including five children, has to cope with a father's death after he was struck by a car in the second of two recent pedestrian accidents in St. Louis. Only two days before this incident, another man lost his life in a pedestrian accident not far from the scene of the second tragedy.

Truck accidents: Speed safety limitations for tires often ignored

State officials and company owners in Missouri and other states where 18-wheelers form part of their fleets seem -- in many cases -- to be unaware of the limitations related to tires and safe traveling speeds. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reported that 223 people lost their lives between 2009 and 2013 in truck accidents where tires were a factor. Tractor-trailer tires are built to be safe at maximum speeds of 75 mph.

Fatal car accidents: Alleged drunk driver faces felony charges

Following a fatal accident in August of last year, a 54-year-old woman is now facing three felony charges. Missouri drivers who take to the roads are responsible for ensuring they are not driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs as their conditions may cause devastating car accidents. The probable cause statement filed by the Callaway County prosecutor states that the woman was driving her car in an erratic manner when she was southbound on Route CC at approximately 7 p.m. on the day of the accident.
