A death in 1 of Missouri's car accidents may lead to civil claim

In an instant, a family's life can be turned upside down. The negligence of others could cause car accidents that result in life-altering injuries, and even death. Mounting medical bills, lost wages, along with disabilities and final costs in the event of death could result in severe financial difficulties for affected Missouri families.

A 23-year-old female driver and her male passenger were northbound on Highway 102 on a recent Sunday morning. When she approached a curve in the road, she lost control of the SUV. The vehicle rolled over, causing the 34-year-old passenger to be ejected from the SUV. The impact caused his death, which was pronounced by the county coroner. The SUV driver suffered moderate injuries and was airlifted to a hospital.

Nothing is more devastating than losing a spouse or close relative in a fatal accident. These situations are even more tragic when the accident could have been prevented. Many people do not realize that even if a loved one was a passenger in a car that crashed, damages could be recovered. This is true even if there are no other vehicles involved if the driver was negligent, he or she could face civil claims.

Missouri residents who have lost loved ones in car accidents can seek help in pursuing justice against the negligent parties who caused the accidents. Support is available for every stage of the legal process of filing wrongful death claims in a civil court. Those left behind may be entitled to financial compensation to help with the losses they suffered and the pain they experienced.
