Car accident victim dies when vehicle crashes into building

While it is unfortunate for Missourians to be involved in a car accident and suffer injuries, there is an inherent and justified expectation that those inside a building will be safe from a car crash. In truth, there are times when vehicles crash into buildings and hit people inside. The shocking nature of such an incident and the lack of protection a person has can cause severe injuries or even death. Those who are involved in or lose a loved one due to these types of car accidents should remember that they have the right to seek compensation in a legal filing.

A 19-year-old college student was in a bar when a vehicle crashed into the building and hit her. The woman was taken to the hospital after the crash and was declared dead. According to the law enforcement investigation, a 21-year-old was driving the vehicle that crashed. He was found to be under the influence of alcohol and placed under arrest with a blood-alcohol content level of .207. The legal limit is .08. He is facing Class C felony charges of first-degree involuntary manslaughter.

When there is an auto accident, the aftereffects can range from minor to the worst-case scenario. The hospital costs, long-term damage and need for extensive care can be a massively expensive endeavor. If there is a fatality, the family must find a way to get beyond their loss while also paying for funeral costs.

It is an emotional and financial nightmare when these accidents happen. Making it even worse is when the car accident victim was not even driving or a pedestrian, but was simply in a building at the wrong place and wrong time and had their lives taken away by a drunk driver. A lawsuit might not bring the person back, but it can help with various costs and to help the family move forward.
