Missourians can face danger at any moment and being at work is no exception. While some jobs are more dangerous than others, there can be accidents at any kind of job. Some accidents can lead to injuries and fatalities. People who have been hurt or lost a loved one at work have the right to seek compensation in a personal injury or wrongful death legal filing.
Three workers who were assigned to work at a television station tower were injured and another died when the 2,000-foot tower collapsed. The accident happened on the morning of April 19 and it is not known yet how or why the tower collapsed. The workers were more than 100-feet in the air when the accident happened. The worker who died was killed when he was trapped under the tower. The other three workers’ injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
When there are injuries on the job, those who were hurt will likely be confronted with medical expenses, lost wages and other problems. This is true even if, as in this case, the injuries are not life-threatening. While it can be difficult to think about at such an emotional time, a legal filing is often the only way to receive compensation for one’s injuries.
If you have been injured or a family member has been killed in a workplace accident that was caused by the negligence of your employer, you may want to contact an attorney to discuss the possibility of filing a lawsuit.
